Ok, I have done this before for family, friends and colleagues and it works. So I thought I would open this up for registered members of mv8800.co.uk.


Always remember however that this is binding in honour only.

First things first, there is no intention to create a contractual relationship here so don't bother suing me or mine (or even getting hot under the collar). There can be no contract with this arrangement because there is just no certainty about it at all. All I am opening up for you here is the chance, (yes that's only a chance) to get some cash back from your purchases from Amazon. I am not selling you anything; you are just buying what you would have done anyway from Amazon, paying the price you were going to pay anyway. All your dealings, gripes, returns and contract will be directly with Amazon as they always would have been.

Having said that, mv8800.co.uk is normally able to get a commission on most items that are bought at Amazon, the commission arises if the buyer and their basket arrive at the Amazon website via the mv8800.co.uk website. What we are opening up here is the chance to share in any commission we eventually get from your purchase.

Cashback 

I really cannot think why anyone would buy directly from Amazon if there is a chance to also get money back when they go through this website? If you think about it, no matter how cheap Amazon sells something this site can, in effect, do it cheaper because we give cashback! If you buy regularly from Amazon or are about to buy one or more large ticket items from Amazon then this could work out for you. 

Oddly enough as I am the registered affiliate for Amazon here, they will not give me commission on anything that I purchase for myself! Now just how annoying is that?! 

How will this work? 

For security and privacy reasons we never ever deal directly with any credit card or other payments, and we do not see your Amazon details etc, all that detail stuff is dealt with by Amazon on their secure servers. We don't know who you are; we don't know your name or anything like that. However this does make it difficult for us to try to match up what you end up buying, with any commission that we might eventually receive for it. 

But fear not . we do not give up that easy! 

What we are suggesting here is that you buy your items via mv8800.co.uk and then as soon as possible send us an email detailing the items that you ordered, sending the email in to your registered username at mv8800.co.uk. (You could forward your Amazon confirmation email if you want) So if your username here is pelham123 send the item list to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . No names or details are necessary, and then if we end up getting commission on such items that you listed which were purchased from Amazon at about that date and time, we will know it was you, or at least an email address. 

When do I get it? "Show me the money!" 

(Remember this is binding in honour only!) Delays delays - To take into account the possibility of returns etc there is always a large delay before we receive any commission from Amazon [often two months plus] therefore this delay will apply before we will know if we have got any commission to share as cashback with you. 

Nothing is certain till the commission is paid. And even then.. .

The link between buying via this website and Amazon is very tenuous at best. I have even stood behind family and friends as they purchase things from Amazon, and they appear to do everything right but still Amazon does not register the purchase as having come from the website and so there is no commission at all. Very annoying! At the end of 2009 Amazon altered they way they verify things too, which has also meant it is harder to insure that the 'connection' with the introducing website is maintained. So remember, just because you bought your Amazon item by first going through mv8800.co.uk does not mean Amazon will see it that way and they may not give out any commission on it. 

Amazon may of course pull the plug on mv8800.co.uk, reading their small print it looks like they can probably stop paying commission without giving any reason at all, so I suppose if this idea ever did take off in a big way Amazon would just shut off the taps (faucets). 

To ensure the best chance of getting cashback commission do it this way. 

First find and select the Amazon items you intend to buy and put them in the basket here on mv8800.co.uk. The Amazon scripts on mv8800.co.uk assemble the items and check Amazon for all the item details and the latest price etc, They are a bit clunky in navigation but they do work so don't give up, as once you get the hang of them you will find that they flow.   When you are ready to purchase, use the buy from Amazon button and go straight into Amazon and checkout and pay. And that should do it! The reason for the rush to pay is that there may be problems if, before completing your purchase, you browse around in the Amazon site etc before finally buying, it is possible that any mv8800.co.uk link that went over with your order and that proves that you came via the mv8800.co.uk site may get lost and Amazon will not register it for commission. (That woud be a real downer!)

How much will I get? 

To keep admin to a minimum the payment trigger value will be about £10 (about $10) for now, so when you have accumulated £10 or more cashback we will send you Amazon vouchers for the amount of cashback to your mv8800.co.uk users registered email address. We will aim to do this review of cashback every month (or when I have the time and am feeling like it), if the amount is under £10 for the month it will not be lost or forgotten but rollover to be added to next month's cashback that's all. 

The percentage of cashback on your purchases will vary depending on the percentage commission mv8800.co.uk receives from Amazon. We never know exactly what this percentage will be at the time of your purchase. 
The basic cashback (if everything worked) is not expected to be less than 2% and may be around 5% but it could be more. 
No one is going to get rich quick on this, no one ever got rich by just spending money. but it is worth having don't you think? 

Soooo .. Just what's in it for mv8800.co.uk then? 

In a word, traffic, as to be successful a site like this needs to have regular visits by people who want to be here and contribute to the site (that's you). Also some commission too I hope, although not as much as I could have got if I had just kept quiet instead of trying to share it with you! I hope you will tell others about the site and so the site will grow.

Why would anyone buy directly from Amazon if there is a chance to get money back if you take your purchase to them from here? So shop with us and hang in there and you shall receive your just reward.
